Bluetooth’s Apprentice

Welcome
Wednesday 14th June  Mum & dad left me at my holiday home for two weeks while they go away, I think these humans are called Dave & Di - made a quick exit from their garden just to keep everyone on their toes - funny to see them all run round after me, ha ha! There was a huge dog like me (except he was black) called Tweed there, we had a good run round the garden, mainly me running away from him as he was a bit rough! Went to see Di's mum and dad, had a ride in Di's car, but they had put some of my stuff in there, like my comfy pillow so I knew it was alright.  This is fun! Got lots of attention at the house, well I am fantastic you know.  I told Dave & Di that I am on 150g food at every meal now (that is four times a day you know), but they didn't believe me and gave me 100g, they must have been talking to Mum & Dad! It was hilarious, they let me out their sight for a couple of minutes and I showed them why an Andrex puppy is called that, I had fantastic fun with the toilet roll.  I stayed awake as long as I could today, there was just so much to see and explore, but eventually I fell asleep (and they say I snored, but I don't believe them!). Thursday 15th June Had breakfast then after a rest Dave took me for a walk and I was allowed to run free (mind you I did not go far from him as I was a bit scared - but don't tell Josie, she won't be my girlfriend any more if she thinks I'm a scaredy cat!) Dave took me in the car for a long drive.  We stopped to look at the view - he reminded me to go busy then we had a short walk. I am very good with my busy - it is my best trick you know.  I even know what big busy is and Mum tells me that for my age, I am a good boy! I was worried that as we were out, Dave would forget my dinner, but he had brought it with him - he is a good boy (and I told him so) Meet some BIG things that went MOOO - they were scary.  I got friendly with one and we touched noses. On the way home we stopped at this place where there were a lot of birds that sat on water which look really deep.  Dave tried to get me to go in the water but I would only go for a paddle as it looked to scary.  There were strange people dressed up looking very odd - he said they were divers but I don't know what that means, but I shan't be scared if I see one again, they just looked silly! There was a man there called Clive who says he know my Dad!  He was a nice man, so I will be his friend. Later, back at home, Tweed came around to play again - had a good run around in the garden with him. Either I am getting faster or he is getting slower.......
Friday 16th June Went down with Dave to this place called Vobster - the same place that we went to yesterday.  Had a good look around lots of nice new smells to investigate.  Got muddy, ha ha my favourite new fun thing to do!  I love being dirty. Had a paddle in the water again - did not go in too far the water was very cold. I whispered to Dave that it was cold, but he just ignored me, typical! I didn't miss Dave too much as I was with George (her name is Georgina which is a girl, but they call her George which is a boy, I am confused!)  who looked after me.  She's alright - gave me lots of treats when I did what she wanted (she only asked me to sit and stuff, which I can do easily but I made out it was really hard, ha ha, must remember that one it worked!) After a hard day at the divers place, all I wanted was a rest, but Dave & Di took me round to their friends house where I met Misty - she is older than me and didn't like me at first, but when she saw how cute I was - I gave her one of my best 'lets play' actions, she was great fun.  I didn't win any of our mock battles, but just wait till I am bigger, I'll have a return match, then we will see! I was sooooo tired later though!
Saturday 17th June Had a lie in this morning - only joking! I woke Dave up at 4:00am for a busy and again at 5:30. When a boys got to go, he has got to go.  Di is spoiling things she is telling Dave that I am 'trying it on' I don't know what she means, and if she intends on spoiling my fun, I am going to have to sort her out! We went out to this big house where there were lots of tents and things to see. Dave & Di thought it was just a fete, and seemed a bit upset when some-one said it would cost £8 each, I could of course go free, but they wouldn't let me go on my own.  So, to get them out of trouble I had a word with them on the desk and they let them in (and Josie and her friend Lesley) for a fiver - what a champ!  Dave was stopped by loads of people and they were all asking about me, I know this because they were all looking at me and saying I was adorable - ok they liked Josie a bit too. We all went back to my house so that me and Josie could have a good play in the garden - I lost my two top teeth.  I am still waiting for the tooth fairy - hint hint! Had a BBQ in the evening with Dave's brother and his wife - its not fair no one would give me any titbits even though I put on my special face. What does a boy have to do to get more than my meals - I think I will go back and find George, she knew what was what! Decided to go to sleep until they gave in and gave me some food - didn't work!
Sunday 18th June Ok, lets get this straight, it is my job to wake everyone up, which I think I did pretty well at 2.30am.  However, at 4.30am the humans all got up and woke me up saying that some-one was off to Thailand, some excuse I think.  I just dropped off to sleep again, when Dave got me up at 6am as he was off diving - is that something to do with the funny people dressed up I saw the other day?  Anyway, Di and me went back to sleep till 9am - I feel shattered, I think I will have to make sure they know who is boss here and who wakes up who! I was appalled later in the day, the day just got worse, Di decided as I had got so muddy on Friday I needed a shower - I was most indignant and made sure she got as wet as me.  When I was running round the garden to dry off though, it did seem like fun, maybe I'll try it again one day... I think Di was a bit cross with Dave later, we were all going somewhere and he was late back from his diving.  I thought it was funny, but thought it best not to say so.  We went over to see Yoko, another black Labrador, who Dave & Di say they looked after before - she is lovely, a big Josie! We had a great run round her garden and I got introduced to a guinea pig.  I was very gentle and just prodded him with my nose.  I got a bit of a fright though when I chased Yoko under a tree and this big thing flew at me - I think they called it a chicken (or was that me), anyway I went running back to Dave & Di, but they just laughed at me.  Yoko has 2 human boys to play with, so I did too - we all had a great time. Yoko was a bad girl, her mum and dad told Dave & Di how good she was about her busy, then would you believe, in front of all of us, she did a busy and a big busy in the middle of the rockery - don't tell anyone that I dared her to do it, ha ha. Yoko says she is going in for training on Wednesday, I must remember to ask Mum what that means when I see her again. Di says this is her favourite picture of Yoko and she lent it to me for my diary.
Monday 19th June After breakfast Dave took me along to that big field again - I was allowed to have a run off the lead.  Had a good time cos lots of other dogs had been around so enjoyed all the new smells. Today Di went off to somewhere called 'work' I don't know where that is, but she didn't seem to want to go.  Anyway, me and Dave had a boys day out round the shops - we went to get some coffee beans, then we went to a hardware shop (not very interesting), an office supplies shop (ditto), a food shop (getting there), then a butchers (bingo!).  It takes us ages to get anywhere though as Dave keeps talking to people, tut tut! Di came home late, and I was tired, so I spent most of the evening asleep - it is hard work when you are growing you know.  I need to plan my day tomorrow as well - what time shall I get Dave up in the morning, let me think........... Above are pictures of me on the beach - ha, ha only joking it is a pile of sand in Dave's front garden (but just as good) and my friend Tweed - he's great! Oh, and one of me asleep, again.  I didn't spend all week asleep Mum. honest!
Tuesday 20th June Went around to Di's mum's house where Dave looked at something big in the garage, a bike or something?  I had a good look around the garden and found lots of nice things to chew.  Di's mum did not look too happy, but I know she loves me, so that's alright!  Had a walk to the shops to get a paper - Dave keeps trying to make me walk in a straight line - I want to investigate all the interesting smells. In the evening Dave took me out in the car.  We stopped at pond where I scared lots of birds away.  Dave also showed me a field were horses were in.  One came over to look at me - that was scary.  I found a new friend - I call him squidgy..he didn't mind me lying on him..well bad luck if he did really..... Di was missing today, Dave said she had gone away for the night to Norwich (is that far away?).  Great, I got Dave all to myself for the whole day. I can start his training properly now....started with convincing him that if he wanted a good nights sleep, he had to leave the door to the kitchen open for me.....it worked!  I had a lovely nights sleep, and so did Dave I think, he wasn't so grumpy in the morning. Let's keep this going then, I will soon be able to convince him that walking in a straight line is not essential and it is important to sniff everything along the way.
