Week 4 - Finding my feet
I
know
I
talked
about
Jasper
a
couple
of
posts
ago,
but
Mum
just
showed
me
this
photo,
don't
I
look
cute!
The
Guide
Dog
trainer
who
is
looking
after
Jasper
rang
the
other
day.
He
is
doing
well
and
they
have
all
fallen
in
love
with
him.
He
was
nice to me, I still miss him.
This
week
has
been
lots
of
fun,
we
met
with
lots
of
other
puppy
walkers
and
had
a
coffee.
I
was
very
good
and
didn't
make
too
much
of
a
fuss
(or
do
any
busy,
busy!)
even
though
there
were
5
other
puppies
there
-
yes
I
have
learnt
to
count
now
too.
My
Dad
has
been
giving
me
extra
bits
of
food
when
I
get
my
training
right.
So
far,
I
know
sit,
come
and
down
-
I
am
very clever and am finding it all very easy.
My
Mum
was
a
bit
upset
with
me
yesterday
as
I
found
a
very
interesting
thing
in
the
garden
and
as
with
all
interesting
things,
I
ran
up
the
garden
with
it,
well
it
was
mine
and
I
didn't
see
why
I
should
share
it.
She
took
it
from
me
(even
though I was just about to eat it up)....by the way, what is a slug?

Week 5 - Helping with the kitchen
Mum was going to put in a nice picture of me posing for the camera, but decided that this was more like the real me at the
moment! I was holding the new kitchen units in place while Dad went off to get the new door.
Wow, what a hectic week I have had, it started on Monday when I went to a guide dogs meeting where lots of people
talked about fundraising! Spencer, my mate was there, we were trying not to distract everyone, but I don't think we
succeeded! On Tuesday I did the same thing again, everyone always makes quite a fuss of me which is nice, but Dad says I
am getting to like the fuss too much and he is going to have to put a stop to it - spoilsport! Then the next day...I went to a
coffee morning with Dad and my kind sponsor.
How much fun can a puppy have in one week! Well, it didn't stop there as my friend Harry came round on Friday and we
had a good run around the table!! On Saturday we went to a shopping centre and I think it was so Mum and Dad could
help with collecting money for future guide dogs. I was centre of attention and met lots of lovely people who were all very
generous. I was good and didn't bite anybody....Mum is getting a bit fed up with me at the moment as I have decided the
skirts she wears for work are great fun to swing off. The game starts with her coming downstairs in the morning, then it is
a race to see who can get to the kitchen first - me to swing on the skirt, or mum to hitch it up so I can't get to it - it is really
funny, although I think Mum loses her sense of humour about it sometimes. Later on Saturday we went to a bbq, but did I
get any extra food, no I did not. I did get to try swimming, I really like it and will probably put in for my swimming
certificates when I am older. I got weighed this week and have put on nearly over 3kgs in a month...I was 5.6 when I
arrived, now I am 8.7!!
You know that there has been some building work here lately, well I have decided to check that the foundations are up to
scratch, so I am slowly digging out a little bit each time I go outside, so far they look ok, but I need to continue and it looks
like a long job! Oh, meant to tell you, I now have two new sworn enemies, they go by the names of 'broom' and 'vacuum
cleaner'. Every time I see them (thankfully not too often!) I make sure I try and attack and kill them. I haven't succeeded
yet, but I will keep an eye out for the next time they are out..........

Week 6 - I do like to be beside the seaside
Do
you
like
my
picture
at
the
beach?
Ha,
ha
only
joking,
it
is
a
pile
of
sand
in
Dads'
garden!!
I
had
great
fun
digging
in
it
though
-
can't
wait
till
I'm
big
enough
to
go
to
the
real
sea
side.
Well,
what
have
I
been
doing
this
week
-
apart
from
eating
and
sleeping
-oh
by
the
way,
my
food
ration
has
gone
up.
I
have
no
problem
getting
through
it
and
it
might
be
why I am growing so quickly and now weigh nearly 10kg.
The
training
is
going
well
and
I
am
really
good
at
'sit'
and
'down'
-
'stay'
is
taking
a
little
longer
for
me
to
learn
though
-
as
far
as
I
am
concerned
2
seconds
is
long
enough
to
stay,
but
Dad
doesn't
seem
to
agree!
I
saw
my
supervisor
this
week and we went for a walk, I hope I am doing alright.
Mum
and
Dad
heard
about
Jasper
this
week,
he
is
having
a
lovely
time
at
big
school
and
is
learning
lots
of
really
interesting
things.
I
will
be
there
next
May
or
June,
so
I
will
look
forward
to
it.
Today
we
went
out
for
my
longest
walk
yet,
I
did
very
well,
even
when
two
REALLY
LOUD
fire
engines
came
racing
round
the
corner.
I
met
some
swans and ducks and lots of people, but Dad won't let them stroke me as I must not get distracted.
We
went
to
a
Farmers
market
and
Mum
was
looking
at
a
stall
that
sold
home
made
chutney.
It
was
really
funny
because
as
the
lady
who
was
serving
turned
round,
Mum
looked
at
me
and
called
my
name.
The
lady
serving
thought
Mum
was
saying
she
wanted
some
Pickle
-
ha
ha!!
I
am
looking
forward
to
next
week,
I
don't
know
what
we
are
doing yet, but I am sure it will be fun....
