Week 36 - Sssshh don't tell Pickle......... 22nd April 2007
It's Harry here...I am staying with Pickle for the weekend and while he is asleep I have decided to hijack his diary update,
so you can see Pickle's week from my point of view!
Well it all started rather well, we met for a run in our usual spot on Tuesday, and Mum and Pickle's dad were having a
natter about their usual stuff - us puppies probably, when Pickle called me over - "Harry, he said, "I've got something to
show you" - well as you can see by the next picture, he did, but I was not amused - nor was my Mum, she had to wipe it
off! So you see, Pickle is not as goody goody as he makes out!
I call him Pickle Lillie (my Mum called him something else after getting me all wet, but I can't tell you what it was).
After this incident, Pickle thought it so funny he kept trying to get me again....but I am not stupid you know! Besides I
think Mum had run out of wet wipes. Anyway, I have now come to stay with Pickle Lillie for the weekend as my Mum
has gone away for a few days.
We went round to Pickle's Nan & Grandad and his Nan wanted to keep me, even after I showed myself up by walking
into the glass of the conservatory. Pickle told me the door was open - I will never trust him again. Then today, we went
for a really nice walk with my mates Chelsea and Paula, which is where we got the bluebell pictures - here is another one
of moi!
Oh, by the way, while I have been here, Pickle has also chewed the edges of my nice blue plastic bowl which I use for
my dinner. Every time I have my tea now, he waits till I finish, then runs off with my bowl while I am busy licking out
his metal one. I don't know what I am going to tell Mum when she gets back, will she believe me that Pickle did it?
After all our activity on the walk, I was pooped, so had forty winks.
For all our teasing of each other, Pickle and I get on ever so well and I love him to bits really, so the last picture is the
two of us in a quieter moment.
Oooh oooh, he's coming up the stairs now, gotta go, bye bye bye....
Love Harry xx

I go for a sleep and what happens. My blog is updated by Harry. Oh well, I suppose he did quite a good job,
although I deny anything to do with any blue plastic bowl..... :)
Week 37 - Tiptoe through the bluebells....... 29th April 2007
So here is the picture of me in the Bluebells from last week, which I didn't get the chance to put on my blog as a certain
individual took over....! It was good fun having Harry to stay, but he certainly knows how to make himself at home as
you can see.
I have been out with Dad quite a bit this week to do some training - we have been into the centre of town and into lots of
shops. I have been well behaved and know all my commands, so it has been quite easy really. I am looking forward to
when we go on a bus - and Mum is going to London this week on the train, so I expect Dad will take me to the station to
see her off.
We have had a little black bundle come to stay for the weekend, his name is Ivan (the terrible!) and he is a 9 week old
black labrador. I suppose he was quite cute really except when he was trying to kill me by sitting on my head! I managed
to keep all my toys to myself and even managed to pinch all his off him as well. Mum says something about all this is
payback time for when I arrived and Jasper was here - I don't know what she means......
Most of the time, Ivan accepted that I was the boss and I had all the toys, but every now and then he gave me a bit of
backchat!
On Friday night, we had a bit of a party to celebrate Herbie becoming a Guide Dog - more of the bubbly stuff. I met
another little puppy, her name is Anka and we thought we could matchmake with her and Ivan as they are about the same
age, but Ivan was having none of it. I think she is very cute and I expect I will get to see her again as she grows bigger.
Oh, and because I got excited and did lots of running around on Friday night, I was sick and Mum had to clear it
up....sorry Mum!
Anyway, here is Anka being a poser (is she taking lessons from Chelsea I wonder?).

Week 38 - Cheers m'dears........... 6th may 2007
As you can see I have been taken to a pub this week - all part of the training you know. On this occasion we sat outside
because earlier in the week, I was inside the same pub and Mum gave me a beer mat to play with. I thought it was a nice
treat, so I ate it all up - some would say I had disposed of the evidence! I think Mum & Dad were quite amazed, Mum
said something along the lines of she was glad she would not have to clear that up when it found it's way through.
I have had a busy time this week - out and about all over the place. Monday night was a guide dog branch meeting, so I
met up with Anka, Chelsea and little Ivan again. Can I say that SOMEBODY misbehaved - and SOME DOGGY
CHUMS might say it was me (tee hee, maybe it was, but I'm not telling!) By the way, Dad has been quite clever and
worked out how to put videos on my diary, so if you look back at the past two weeks entries, you will see Ivan and me
playing and also Harry and I having a good run around.
The weather has been nice recently, so I decided to take my bed out into the garden, so I could be a bit more comfy out
there! I don't think Mum gets shocked anymore, she just shrugs and picks things up - I must try harder. On the same
subject, I am just investing some time in digging a few more holes around the garden. Mum had this idea that if I had one
big hole - my special one, I would not be inclined to dig any more. How wrong she is, I now have at least four more on
the go, here is the latest one! You can see I am just getting past nose level - another couple of days and I will be able to
get my whole head in. All I can say is, next time Dad mows the grass, he might get a few surprises!
I saw Harry this week, yes it was for coffee AGAIN. We weren't allowed for a free run first, but we were very good and
didn't try to get each other into trouble. I also saw Chelsea - Anka didn't come as she was having a zizz. Today we went
along to a street market, lots of people and noise - even an open top bus went by with lots of people hooting car horns
and cheering - I think Dad said it was something to do with a football team being promoted in the divisions?
My last picture this week is when I went to the quarry with Dad, where he goes diving. I thought I would give it a go, but
this is as far as I got in, it was too cold! So there goes my career as an underwater guide dog then!
Don't forget to have a look at the videos, and Dad might add one at the bottom of this weeks diary which has Ivan from
last week - snoring. So turn your sound up when you look at it.
