Welcome
Week 29 - Emergency Blog Update - Ow that hurts! 5th March 2007 Yes, as you can see from my picture I am not very happy - that exciting day that Dad had lined up for me, well all I can say is don't bother next time. I am having a lot of trouble sitting down at the moment. Still, I got my own back on Dad when he left me at the V.E.T's, lets just say that his leg was a bit damper when he left, than when he went in, ha ha - ouch, it hurts when I laugh! Love Pickle xx
Week 30 - Gone with the wind............... 11th March 2007 Well, I normally start my diary by telling you I have had a busy week, but not this week. As you saw from my emergency blog update, I had a nasty operation which means I can't go out and run around for 10 days - I can assure you I don't really want to anyway! So, I have been bored and Mum bought me this bandana to cheer me up. I think Mum went somewhere called Crufts where they decide which is the best dog in the country - ha, if I had been at my best (still had my you-know-whats) no-one else would stand a chance. Well she brought me back, the bandana, a new bed, some treats and a new toy which had Crufts Best in Show on it. I soon destroyed that one, good job she got a picture when she did as 5 minutes later, it was destroyed. On Friday, I went to stay with Herbie's Mum & Dad for a sleepover and we went to see some of their friends. They had a C.A.T, and I was very good, we had a little talk and agreed that if she didn't run away, then I wouldn't have to chase her. I quite liked her really, her name was Boddington, which is a bit of a mouthful, so I just called her Boddy! On the next day, we all went for a walk and I decided to go for a swim, well the VET said no free running, but he didn't say I couldn't go free swimming! So when Mum & Dad picked me up I was all wet, and very tired, so I had my tea and went straight to bed. Today, we went for a walk around the docks, and it was nice to get out in the fresh air....only 2 more days until I can go for a run around. Harry had better watch out, I will have tons of energy to burn up when I see him. Anyway, on our walk we came across a sculpture of a dog, so Dad took a picture of me with him. Mind you, I was a bit scared at first, so there were a few treats involved in me getting this close. My last picture shows how I have tried to make the best of the week, even though I have been very bored and very sore. Love Pickle xx

Week 31  -  Walking again.....!  18th March 2007 I have been out for a nice walk this weekend, the first one since I had my op. My scar is healing up nicely, and I am starting to forget what was there before. I will have to look back at some of my old photos to jog my memory. Dad says I have calmed down a lot over the last week or so, I think I am just lulling him into a false sense of security. Anyway, our walk was way up in the hills as you can see, and look how far ahead of Mum me and Dad were, she wasn't very happy that we didn't wait for her - but she is a slow coach and I had a lot of energy to burn off. There were some fabulous new smells up there and I was very tired for the rest of the day as you can see from my picture at the end of my diary entry. I have also been for a good run with Harry this weekend, and I think the least said about the bandana the better as far as I am concerned, Harry has had a good laugh at my expense. I went along to stay with Nan & Grandad for the day and helped Nan with the gardening. She pulled up a weed, so I dug a hole for her. Very kind of me I thought, although somehow she didn't seem as pleased with my handiwork as I was. I was on best behaviour the rest of the time as I would like to go and stay there again some time. Dad let me watch the rugby on telly this weekend, but I found it all a very nail biting experience as you can see...... Not much more to say this week, perhaps next week I will be able to get up to some more mischief, who knows! Love Pickle xx
Week 32 - Say cheese....................  25th March 2007 As you can see, Harry and I are locked in a deadly battle over a stick. I am sure I won that particular battle, but I bet Harry tells you otherwise! We went for a walk to a park with lots of my chums as it was Spencer's last run out before he went off to big school later in the week. We made the most of the day and had a good burn out, followed by lying quietly under a table while the puppy walkers all had coffee. In the next picture are, Harry, Pixie, yours truly, Paula and Spencer. The only one not in the picture is Chelsea, I expect she was off doing her hair! Do you remember Mum bought me a new bed at Crufts, well she decided to wash the cover this week and I discovered that the inside of it is really fluffy and great fun to play with, so she had to put it away quick. I will be waiting for the next time it appears though. We went for another bracing walk again today, Dad does like taking us up some steep hills, but it is always worth it when we get there. Dad didn't need to bring any treats with him as I found some all of my own - little round black pellets - and they were everywhere, they beat Eukanuba or Royal Canin any day! Dad did keep telling me off though, so perhaps I wasn't supposed to eat them? In the distance you can see a peak and that was where we were heading for. On the way we met a family with 2 young boys, one of them kindly gave me his cap to run off with (not really, I just thought it was funny to pinch it from him and scarper quickly!). After a few turns around the hilltop, the hat was returned, no worse for wear. When we got to the top of that peak, it was very windy, so I decided to practice my turning left and turning right ear manouvers for when I am a guide dog, tee hee! Love Pickle xx
