Ronald Dobell Lynde
Ronald Dobell Lynde The second son of Alice Rose and Walter Lucus Lynde was born in 1884.  He was a quantity surveyor, worked for some years in Brazil where his English fiancé, Elsie May Bowley, joined him and they had a civil marriage in Fortclega on 16th November 1912.  Fourteen months later they were married again by the Bishop of the Falklands.  They returned to England for the birth of their daughter Marjorie Elsie, on the 30th October 1919.Elsie died in 1962 and Ronald in 1976.

1974 Ronald aged 90, lived in Cornwall with Marjorie
Marjorie with husband Major Louis Macleod and their two sons, Robin Lewis and Nigel Ronald at their home, 1 Park Road, Redruth, Cornwall. Louis died in 1989 aged 71.  Since Marjorie’s Death in 1996, Robin and Nigel, neither of whom have married, have continued to live in the family home.  I took this photo when I visited them in 1974.
